Lamb of God Family Ministry seeks to love our families with children of all ages, inspire them with the Word of God to deepen their faith, and serve our families as though we were serving Christ Himself. Here are some of the ways we do this!
Sunday School
Children three years old through fifth grade are invited to experience God's Word through our Sunday School ministry. Currently we meet all together in the upstairs of our Early Childhood Center. Sunday School is scheduled from 9:15 am-10:15 am. Our teenagers are welcome to assist with the Younger children, or meet for their own Bible Study on Sunday mornings in the Youth Room.
Student Confirmation Class
Beginning in sixth grade, students are eligible to come together to learn about the foundations of the Lutheran faith. This two-year program runs from August – March, with the Rite of Confirmation taking place on Palm Sunday. Class meets in the Youth Room on Sunday evenings: 5:00 - 6:30 PM.
Youth Group
Youth group consists of Bible Study, small group, mission trips, retreats, and all sorts of fun and engaging events. The youth group meets weekly on Sunday evenings (excluding holidays) from 6:30pm-8:00pm, dinner provided. Check the church calendar or contact our Director of Christian Education, Ryan Howard, for all the upcoming opportunities!
VBS
Every year during the 2nd full week of June we throw an awesome Vacation Bible School program with songs, bible lessons, games, crafts, and snacks! This year’s theme is “We’ve Got Spirit!” – Click here to learn more and register!
We are a Family-Friendly Church!
We love families and many times throughout the year provide opportunities for families to worship together and serve together!
- Oktoberfest – usually the 2nd-to-last Sunday of October, this church-wide event is a congregation potluck and brews! Don't forget your beer steins (or root beer if you’re a young’in)! The Youth sell homemade pretzels at this event to fund the next summer’s trip.
- Christmas - The children perform a Christmas Program the Sunday before Christmas to help us celebrate the birth of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ! Plus, on Christmas Eve, our 6pm service is more family-focused, usually with skits and upbeat music.
- Springtime – Children are welcome at all of our services. We observe Ash Wednesday and participate in Lent. We also observe Holy Week and have Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday and Good Friday service(s).
- Easter – On the day before Easter we have a huge Easter Egg hunt in conjunction with our preschool! Then on Easter Sunday, we serve Easter Breakfast in between our 3 services.
